Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data stored in NUMIB at any time. This page explains how to exercise that right and what happens to your data when you do.

1. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data in any of the following ways:

Option 1 β€” By email

Send an email to privacy@numib.com with the subject:

Data deletion request β€” [your registered email]

Option 2 β€” From the app

Log in to numib.app β†’ Settings β†’ Account β†’ "Delete my account and data".

We process deletion requests within a maximum of 30 business days from receipt.

2. What Data is Deleted

When you request account deletion, we permanently and irreversibly delete:

  • Your user profile and access credentials
  • Company data (name, tax ID, address)
  • Instagram and Messenger message history stored in NUMIB
  • Contacts and customers registered on the platform
  • Orders, quotes, and inventory
  • Account settings and preferences
  • Data obtained through Meta APIs (message content, sender profiles)

3. Data We May Retain

Certain categories of data must be retained due to legal obligations, even after your request:

  • Tax and billing records: Under Guatemalan law (SAT), electronic invoicing (FEL) records must be kept for 5 years.
  • Transaction records: Required for financial audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Security activity logs: To prevent fraud and investigate incidents, for a maximum of 90 days.

This data is retained in anonymized form or with strictly restricted access and is automatically deleted upon expiry of the legal period.

4. Deletion of Meta Platform Data

If you connected your Instagram or Facebook Messenger accounts to NUMIB, data received through Meta APIs (messages, sender profiles) is deleted from our systems when:

  • You disconnect your Instagram or Messenger account from NUMIB's settings
  • You delete your NUMIB account
  • You submit a deletion request to privacy@numib.com

You can also revoke NUMIB's access directly from Meta:

  1. Go to Meta Business Manager β†’ Settings β†’ Connected apps
  2. Find "NUMIB" and select "Remove access"
  3. This immediately revokes the API permissions

Once access is revoked from Meta, NUMIB stops receiving new messages. Messages already stored in NUMIB are deleted according to your plan's retention period or when you explicitly request deletion.

5. Deletion Confirmation

Once deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 business days, write to us at privacy@numib.com.
